SA HOTEL - SANDY BAY - CAPE TOWN
Sandy Bay lies in one of the last remaining stretches of untouched natural coastline on the
Cape coast along the road to Cape Point. It is one of the peninsula's most inaccessible beaches and is very popular
amongst the naturists. Apart from its attraction to nudists, the Sandy Bay's unspoilt beauty has made it popular
with hikers and conservationists.
Sandy Bay Beach is known for its natural beauty it is a popular Cape Town nude beach, however
you do not have to go for that all over tan to enjoy this beach because there is a lot more to be enjoyed. The Sandy
Bay Beach is located in a secluded bay just past Llandudno Beach. Enclosed by sand dunes and the backdrop of mountains
the Sandy Bay Beach is very well protected from most wind directions. The quite and peaceful Sandy bay is less busy
than most beaches and allows you to escape the crowds of other beaches.
In order to get to Sandy Bay you will follow a level walking path from the parking lot. This
walk will take you roughly 20 minutes. The beach is also reachable from the Hout Bay dunes. When sea swells are
large there is a great beach break for surfing and body boarding. There is no direct vehicle access to Sandy Bay,
which helps to stop passer-byers to view what is happening, and generally people respect each other's privacy. The
only ones getting a good view of the Sandy Bay Beach are those taking a scenic helicopter ride from the Waterfront.
Whilst at Sandy Bay, also visit the Cape Peninsula National Park. The Cape Peninsula's dramatic
topography and Mediterranean-type climate has produced an enormous array of habitats which in turn means the park
offers an incredibly rich variety of plants and animals.
So if you are a person who likes to explore and try out new things or you enjoy nude bathing then
Sandy Bay Beach is the best place for to visit. If you just want to enjoy the view of the sea in peace and quite without
doing anything extreme, then sandy bay is also perfect for because it is a private beach and is not reachable by car.
So you have to take a twenty minute walk through the narrow path surrounded by nature's best plants and fresh air in
order to get the beautiful Sandy Bay Beach thus making it much safer and far from the noisy, busy city life.
If you prefer not seeing people who aren't fully clothed, then the surrounding beaches provide
everything you miss out on. Brilliant sail yachting experiences can be found at Hout Bay, and sporting competitions
on hot sunny days at Camps Bay. There is also the entire False Bay area where conditions are perfect for a lazy day
in the sun next to the beach, and a great swim!
