Steve Jobs has passed away
Steve Jobs, the cofounder, chairman and previous CEO of Apple passed away on the 5th of October 2011 at the age of 56.
Earlier this year, Steve Jobs stepped down as CEO of Apple for health reasons reasons, but asked to remain on as Chairman. He also asked that Tim Cook (currently COO) take over the CEO position as he has been filling that role while Steve Jobs has been having medical problems.

Steve Jobs was an entrepreneur and inventor. Apart from his success in Apple, he was also the Chief Executive of Pixar Animation Studios and became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006 after Pixar was acquisitioned by Disney.
